The dangers of organized sports were brought into the national spotlight in 2011 when Adrian Arrington, a former Easter Illinois football player, retained a lawyer and filed suit against the NCAA over an alleged traumatic brain injury. Ten other players joined the class action suit and a settlement is still pending.
Injuries have always been a factor in sports, but as more sports-related injury and wrongful death cases make the news, parents and coaches from small towns like Farmington, Utah to big cities across the country are becoming more concerned over youth sports injuries.
