Dog Bites: Warning Signs and Prevention

Imagine a beautiful fall evening in Farmington, Utah. Orange leaves are scattered along the sidewalk as you take an easy stroll through the quiet neighborhood. Nearby, an aggressive growl interrupts your trance. On the side-walk ahead of you, stands a muscular pit bull. It growls and shows its teeth. Don’t panic. It’s possible to get out of this predicament without getting a dog bite.

Start by backing away slowly. Avoid looking at the dog directly in the eyes. Eye contact can come across as threatening to the dog. If the dog charges you, don’t run. Dogs run faster than humans. Stay calm. Be smart. If the dog bites you, talk to your lawyer for legal help.
