The bullying epidemic has been highlighted in the press over the past few years. From the Florida A&M band hazing death to high school cyber bullying to the unbelievable number of suicides in the LGBT community linked to bullying, America has a bully problem.
Children, teens and young adults from St. George, Utah to the East Coast face an increasingly hostile environment, both in and out of school. Oftentimes, bullies stop at the water’s edge and a “sticks and stones” mentality is enough to protect their victims. While rare, bullying is taken to extremes and results in injury or wrongful death.
If you suspect your child is the victim of bullying, it’s important to speak to him or her and get to the root of the problem. If your child has been injured at the hands of a bully, you may want to obtain a lawyer to seek legal action.
