In between police shootings and body cams, the police’s relationship with the public is at an all time low. Wrongful death cases involving police officers are rare in Salt Lake City, and the Salt Lake City Police Department’s relationship with the public is relatively good (compared to places like Chicago or Baltimore).
But it’s still good to know what your rights are when an officer approaches your car.
