Teenagers and Older People Are the Riskiest Drivers on The Road

Teenagers and older people have more in common than you might think. Whether it’s a retired lawyer in LA or a high school student Farmington, Utah, statistically speaking, older peple and teengers are at the most risk of causing an auto accident.

Compared to middle age drivers, drivers between 16-17 have nearly a nine times higher chance of getting into a car accident. People over 80 are five and a half times more likely to get in a car accident than middle age people.

They have similar track records in regards to car accidents, but their reasons for why they’re getting in accidents is differs greatly. For teenagers, it’s primarily distractions from texting and friends, and for older people, it’s simply the difficulty of seeing and having a slower response time.
